Box Tops For Education
What are Box Tops?
This is a Box Top.
It is easy to find Box Tops. In fact, you may have some in your home right now. You can find Box Tops on over 300 participating products. For every Box Top you clip, your child’s school will receive 10 cents. This may not sound like much, but it adds up quickly.
Grab your scissors and keep an eye out for the Box Tops for Education logo on the products you use every day. Scan the shelves at the grocery store and office supply stores. Participating companies and product lines include General Mills, Green Giant, Avery, Kleenex, Pillsbury, Old El Paso, Ziploc, Hefty, Juicy Juice, Hanes, Progresso, Yoplait, Betty Crocker and many more. For a full list of participating products, go to www.btfe.com/products.
Once you’ve finished with the product, clip the Box Top before you throw it away. Be sure to look over the whole box: Some packages offer bonus Box Tops. Simply send the clipped Box Tops into your school with your child.
Davis and Lane Schools participate in monthly Box Tops contests. On the last Friday of each month, Box Tops are collected from each classroom. In the 2-3 days that follow, it takes a group of 8-10 volunteers many hours to count, sort, and trim the Box Tops. Classroom Box Tops totals are recorded.
At both schools, the top three classes are revealed over the morning or afternoon announcements, and the classroom that collects the most Box Tops wins the coveted traveling trophy and a certificate. The children get very excited about the prospect of winning the trophy!
The classroom that collects the most for the entire year will win a party, goody bags, and their photo in the local newspaper. Second and third place receive goody bags.
All classes that collect 1,500 Box Tops will earn an extra recess!
Box Top Tips
Help us spread the word! The more people who know about the Box Tops program, the more money our school will earn to fund more programs and enrichment opportunities for our children.
Ask family, friends, neighbors, and coworkers to clip Box Tops for you. Many people really don’t mind and actually enjoy being able to help. Otherwise the Box Tops would just end up in the recycling bin. Their trash is our cash!
Don’t forget to register at www.btfe.com/. The Box Tops website has frequent promotions that award bonus Box Tops.
